60 Hour Coaching Certification Program
A comprehensive, practice rich training that prepares you for professional coaching and BBC credentialing.
The 60 Hour Coaching Certification Program is a 12 week, fully asynchronous training designed for aspiring professional coaches who want a deeper, more rigorous pathway into the field. This program blends coaching theory, hands on practice, mentor coaching, and competency based assessment, all aligned with the BBC Core Competency Model and the requirements for the Board Certified Coach (BCC) credential.

Audience: • Aspiring professional coaches • HR and talent development professionals • Organizational leaders • Helping professionals expanding into coaching Admission Requirements: You may qualify if you meet one of the following: • Master’s degree or higher in social or behavioral sciences + 30 coaching hours • Credentialed coach + 30 coaching hours • One professional endorsement • Completed program application What You’ll Learn By the end of the program, you will be able to: 1. Facilitate client growth through goal setting, action planning, and accountability Weekly Breakdown Week 1: Foundations of Professional Coaching Learn what professional coaching is, how it differs from other helping professions, and how the BBC Core Competencies shape effective coaching. Week 2: The Coaching Mindset & Self Awareness Explore how values, beliefs, and biases shape your coaching presence and learn strategies for reflective practice. Week 3: Ethics, Standards & Professional IdentityDeepen your understanding of the BBC Code of Ethics and apply it to real world coaching dilemmas. Week 4: Establishing Coaching Agreements Learn how to design clear coaching agreements and cocreate session goals with clients. Week 5: Building Trust & SafetyDevelop the skills to create a supportive, culturally aware coaching environment. Week 6: Active Listening & Presence Practice multi level listening and learn how to maintain presence during coaching conversations. Week 7: Powerful Questioning & Evoking Awareness Learn how to ask questions that spark insight and deepen client self discovery. Week 8: Coaching Models & Frameworks Apply structured coaching models such as GROW, Co Active, and Solution Focused approaches. Week 9: Facilitating Client Growth & Accountability Help clients set meaningful goals, design action plans, and navigate progress and setbacks. Week 10: Coaching Practicum I Conduct your first observed coaching session and receive structured feedback. Graded Component: • Observed Coaching Session I (12.5%) Week 11: Coaching Practicum II & Mentor Coaching Demonstrate growth in the second observed session and participate in mentor coaching. Graded Components: • Observed Coaching Session II (12.5%) • Mentor Coaching Feedback Report (15%) Week 12: Integration, Assessment & Culminating Project Synthesize your learning and demonstrate competency through a final assessment and portfolio.
