The 30 Hour Coaching Foundations Certificate is a short, focused, fully asynchronous program that teaches you the core skills every coach needs, from ethical practice and active listening to powerful questioning and foundational coaching models. Whether you’re new to coaching or expanding your professional toolkit, this program gives you the confidence, structure, and grounding to begin coaching effectively and pursue the Board Certified Coach (BCC) credential through the Center for Credentialing & Education (CCE).     Attendance Requirement: Complete at least 27 of 30 hours to earn your certificate. Weekly Breakdown A simple, student friendly look at what you’ll learn each week. Week 1: Foundations of Coaching & Ethics Understand what coaching is, how it differs from other helping professions, and how to apply ethical standards in real scenarios. • Short video lessons • Ethical case study • Coaching philosophy reflection • Intro to the CCE Core Competencies Week 2: Coaching Agreements & Goal Setting Learn how to design clear coaching agreements and help clients set meaningful, measurable goals. • Create your own coaching agreement package • Practice writing session agreements • Analyze sample client scenarios Week 3: Active Listening & Coach Presence Develop the foundational skills that make coaching powerful: deep listening, presence, and mindful attention. • Listening skills video lessons • Mindfulness and centering exercises • Transcript analysis • Personal presence framework Week 4: Powerful Questions, Communication & Rapport Learn how to ask questions that spark insight and build trust with clients. You’ll do: • Question design exercises • Transcript analysis • Cultural humility exploration • Case studies on trust and rapport Week 5: Coaching Models, Client Growth & Accountability Explore foundational coaching models and learn how to support clients through change and action. • Compare GROW, Co Active, and Solution Focused models • Design a full coaching session plan • Create action plan templates Week 6: Business Basics, Integration & Skills Check Bring everything together and prepare for your next steps as a coach. • Build a simple coaching business plan • Map your BCC credentialing pathway • Complete a Skills Check (recorded or written) • Take a short online assessment Assessments Your learning is supported through reflection, applied practice, and two final assessments: • Skills Check (30%) Demonstrate core coaching skills • Online Assessment (15%) Coaching fundamentals, ethics, and CCE competencies Everything is designed to be supportive, practical, and aligned with real coaching practice.
